We go head upstairs, having previously defeated the gyn in the basement of the Time Inn. Lux asks emo boy to look at lantern. Magical, would emit a blue light. Some things would appear illuminated other things not. Lux turns on the lamp – lantern is a purple glow. Essentially a black light.

We go talk to Bug at the bar. We ask about Lornath and Athenish. He nods head upon hearing Lornath. Nothing about Athenish. Saw Lornath two days ago. Skylar reach chimes in – Lornath likes to do walkabouts, scavenges for duodrone parts to raise money. Lornath comes around every so often. Skylar says we can get a room. All rooms are fresh regardless of the door. John Denver is on stage. We go to crash out. Super long hallway, 10 doors on each side. We open the third door on the left, One large bed, it’s a suite. Lux dims the lanterns, uses the gray mist lantern. Nothing much. Kex goes to the fourth room on the left. Same thing. Kex does perception check – only thing noticed is that it’s exceptionally clean, and there’s magic here in various places. We take a long rest.

Food is different – breakfast. Food seems normal. Kex eats it, it’s good. Lux goes downstairs.

Lornath is downstairs! Lux strolls up to Lornath and talks to him. Tells him about the Portal. He’s happy here. We have everything we want. Talks about Modrons – hyper law abiding constructoids (one of a few awesome made up words of the evening), watch out for the cubes.

Kex comes down. Lornath greets him. Kex calls him out for not really doing anything. Talks about Athenish being partly in the fade, gave him the note. Never seen him since. Talks about the Modrons – they run this plan. They enact law. They want a law-abiding society.

Talks about the Pentadrone who runs the area – he speaks normally. He knows the story of Cleo Pipe. Lives in a temple of a sphere, pyramid, cube. Says it’s never in the same place. Hard to tell direction around here. You have to know which drones to follow. More complex drones reside there. Tridrones, must be very careful. More sides = more speaking. Pentadrone v peaceful. Pentadrones work for Cleo Pipe – inserted a creature of his own design to lead the Modron hierarchy. It’s name is Binary Prime. Lornath has only heard of its existence – garners great fear. Forces modrons to collect gas, put in the spheres, transported back.

Cleo pipe originally wanted to just fade the Royal Party and take over Fellen with the dragon sisters. Spell has gone wildly crazy. Modrons concerned that all people from real plane. Temple is called the Administration Building.  We talk about finding a duodrone. It’s been a little while since he’s seen Led Zeppelin. John Denver is here. Skylar reach tells us Jartha down for the count. Neves fifth door on the right. Kex goes to fifth door on right to get Neves. They head outside, Lux wipes his feet on the bear rug. Morris gives me a look.

We go outside to talk to duodrone. Lornath tells duodrone to summon tridrone. After a while a six-legged pyramid. Tritone says duodrone report. “Wanderer”. Lornath says “must find administrative building” then “walk to Administration Building”. Tridrone starts walking.

Lux ducks behind Lornath, turns on lantern. Can see much further, and distant shapes like mountains or hills. Tridrone walking towards one of the lumpy shapes. Tridrone has dark side of the moon album cover on its back. There’s a protected inner light circle 15 feet around the lantern.

Neves said ancient magic – this is clearly a v powerful artifact. There may be more to this than what we’re seeing right now.

Lux turns off lantern, stashes it. More intelligent bots might notice it if in use.

We see two cubular (another cromulently invented word) shapes in the distance. Quadrone halts tridrone. Tritone says attempting to walk to administration build. Who instructed you to do that. Lux nudges Lornath. Lornath steps forward “greetings, respectfully my compatriots and I require audience with pentadrone” Quadrones look at each other. They both approach Lornath. One quadrone takes tridrone away for “repurposing”. Other quadrone takes us. Moving at a brisk pace. We see large building of pyramid, sphere, tilted rhombus. We approach.

Quadrone says follow me inside. Tons of drones doing crazy shit. One comes up and says why are you hear. “Wanderer the Pentadrone must see you”. Duodrone brings Lornath a beer. We’re offered beers. Neves passes. Fart jokes because my headset sounds like it’s farting when I move my mic. Lornath says he’s only met pentadrone once. Says he’ll have lieutenants in there. Lornath says they’re pretty much just like us.

The pentadrone is there – more fleshy but still metal. Four quadrones in there too.

“Wanderer, you’re back. So good to see you. I’ve been looking for you”

Pentadrone says he’s been looking for all of us. I wish to speak to you. I heard from the monodrones about the portal, and us coming through. Asks for our help. Kex wins favors by calling him sir. Kex brags about royalty. Pentadrone was like come closer let’s huddle. I know you’ve come through the portal. Everyone else has been faded. Tired of the interlopers – you and your kind don’t belong here. Binary Prime, created by pipe, is the problem. Binary Prime is a grand construct of Pipe. Kex asked what would happen if he turned him into a turtle. Binary Prime can travel by just thinking about it.

Pentadrone tells us doesn’t know how to hurt Binary Prime. We ask about location. A great distance from here is an edifice that houses an incinerator (crematory for modrons). There’s a small portal in the basement there – where the globes get filled. Binary Prime might over see this operation. You will have to travel many miles to find another pentadrone district. About a day away. Mentions there’s a great deal of magic on this plane – emanates from the plane. We don’t know why Time Inn is so luxurious. He likes it bc keeps people away from the drones. Time Inn is so strong w/ magic, reminds him of Binary Prime.  Also Prime, without binary, is the name for God.

Pentadrone says quadrones will take us there.

For my polite friend, and he gives Lux a green pearl.

We take off and follow the yellow brick drone. Also pentadrone was tatted up and cubes have black flag symbol on their backs.

Lux busts out his Joffrey figurine. Appears in small owl.

Activates lantern, give it Joffrey. Picks up lantern, also tripled in size. Says he sees these shapes on the horizon – not sure if I can make way make. Joffrey agrees to circle the party. Joffrey activated. Quadrone is like hey guys get a move on. We’re jogging behind the quadrone. Getting tired. Joffrey says there’s a building up ahead, maybe about five mins away. Joffrey goes to circle the building. Joffrey says not a single drone outside of the incinerator. Doesn’t have windows. We eventually come to the building. Large/wide building. Quadrone runs inside. Lux gets lantern back. Joffrey hangs out outside.

Lux goes in the door- intending to scout. Supposed to look super fancy and clean. Hears metallic feet around the corner. Lux goes back and gets the group. Lornath peaks around the corner. Three tridrones. They don’t seem normal. Didn’t have any mod or band patches on the side of them. Neves sensing something – could be a portal here. We move forward.

Go go into room with three tridrones. Lornath says allow passage. Doesn’t compute. They attack us.

Ken rolled a 1 and a 100. (Attacks its ally).

Kex threw a bot into the cloud of daggers. Bit of a signature move for the party.

We win – not that much of a fight.

We keep going through. Lornath sets off a trap. Lux finds another trap, disarms it. Lornath chugs a powder beer. We’re hearing a lot of clickity clackaty. We can smell burning. Lornath tells us we cant really talk to the drones when there are this many. Get in a fight. Also, they’re called Tritones now.

Lornath flings his beer mug at the quadrone – shatters. Later, Lornath declares he will not use his second cup for attacking.

We defeat a bunch of different drones including a quadrone. There’s a tapestry. We get to room that has a ladder going below. It’s a room, like for humans. Huge wolf rug. We find a book – extremely similar to the one in the winchenden warehouse. We open the door – two monodrones and a duodrone. There a human skeleton on a table. The drones are just working.

Kex asks duodrone. Does not communicate. Talk of workflow. They process skeleton. “DM does not know” in duodrone voice. Skeleton being crushed and monodrones putting dust in vials. Says monodrones take vials to transportation chamber. We ask for tridrone.

Two tridrones show up. They say no tridrones on this level. Triton tells us Binary Prime is in transportation chamber. We beat some drones. Go into another room. There’s a human there that’s been crushed by falling rock and he is in green/has green armband. Neves uses a scroll that shields us. Talk of look, listen, feel. We check out another room, it’s a deactivated quadrone. Decrepid and rusty. Another room filled with winchedon boxes. Another door we hear humans in the other room. Room below, no sound. We go into that room – two statues. Lux detects behind the statue a small lever. There’s a rustling on the other side of the door. Do is unlocked.

We pull levers on statues, a door opens behind kex.

We go in the room there’s some sort of sacrifice happening. It’s a demonic summoning ritual that looks mostly complete. Emo Boy puts out the candles and scatters the bones. We open the door, dead guy on the floor, bunch of random swords, a hole with a ladder. And some dude digging through stuff like a starving cartoon. Has a leather jacket and whip. Asks us who we are. He’s searching for golden skull. It’s a skull and petrified heart. I’m an explorer, got faded a year ago. So he’s sneaks in and digs up treasures. Says pentadrones get buried. His name is Harrison Vangelos.

Body is a person with green arm band.

We got out and try the closed door. Five cultists. The leader turned into mist to escape the cloud of daggers. We kill all the others and question the cultist leader. This is where the boxes come in and we put the orbs in the boxes. Portal is through this tunnel.  Doesn’t know about any ritual. I guard this for Cleo Pipe and Binary Prime. Prime is a technological wonder. Hasn’t seen Pipe in years. We take the armband. Take the sword. We grab other armbands. Kex stuffs and armband. We tie him up and drop him in the summoning room. Talk of future sessions around thanksgiving and xmas.
