We head back to camp. Morris asks us how we did. Lux shows him the envelope – has gears that will improve his watch. Gives a gear to Ogelsby. Sealed by one of the Timemasters – Thames Alwyn. Acquaintance of Morris’s, but doesn’t see eye-to-eye.

We need to improve Morris’ watch so we can stop time to prevent the fade. Also need to improve Ogelsby’s watch.

We go into the Time Inn – Morris has tools, small. Starts working on the watches. Ogelsby gets his watch back. Now they can synchronize watches, which they’re both pretty pumped about. Still – Ogelsby is 11 seconds too fast.

We hang out at campfire – talk of the green owl – named Janna. Killius digs Joffrey – offers to fashion it some gear.

We crash out.

We have breakfast – Killius give Lux something to wear to support Joffrey.

We talk to Fairsly a bit. He’s popular, was a knight. Older. Retired. Was in Ash. Kex grabs a free apple with his tongue. Lots of fish, fruit. We start making weird requests for apple butter and unleavened bread.

Lux and Kex go over to Gibbons, Lux gets some apple butter.

Morris comes over to Ogelsby – says we need to seek out Thames Alwyn.  Recommends using Gladeius to find him. Morris tells Ogelsby he needs to find Thames to seek out the gears. The beef with Morris and Thames is that their watches are one second apart and they both think theirs is correct.

We all head to Ash to see Gladius. We order some drinks from Skyler – we wait for Gladius. There are some dueling Lutes. Bug is there, shitfaced. Cooks makes an appearance – talks about Monkey Brain BBQ. Ogelsby gives an impromptu, unasked for, lecture on the topic. Lux gives Cooks an apple and applebutter. We talk about ice cream involved after-dinner omelete. Ogelsby orders some concoction of apple butter and monkey brains. Rest of us get grilled apple butter sandwiches. Jartha doesn’t want to discuss the war, let alone which war.

Gladius comes out – what’s with the bell ringing? So good to see you! Ogelsby talk about Thames Alwyn. Gladeus knows him, but it’s been some time. We need to look at the map. THEN PANDEMONIUM BREAKS OUT!

Two warriors and a dude with chain mail and a mace – obviously people behind them. Ogelsby “hold there friends, you are interrupting my lunch!” We fight.

Hold up, they’re wearing green arm bands. Post script: a huge fucking fight happens for like an hour plus after this.

Early in this fight Jartha jumps up on the bar! Busts out his crossbow.

Skyler reach rips off part of the back bar (like a staff) and wallops.

This huge red glowing suit of armor, and a slender figure with a cane (we recognize as DustCrown). DustCrown points at Jartha. Lyric finally does something worthwhile and casts bless on us.

In the middle of the fight Dustcrown smashes an orb on skyler reach and he fades. WEAPONIZED FADE SKYLER REACH IS DEAD

During the battle Oglesby elevates/paralyzes red armor

Also during the battle – Kex cast cloud of daggers. Then later he failed pushing someone into it. Also Ogelsby tried to gust someone into the cloud of daggers but failed. Later Kex did push someone into it (pretty sure).

We take out a lot of cultists of the fade – Obsconscion.

Lux tries to stun cultist with applebutter, but fails miserably – by rolling a 0 (1 with a minus 1)

Cooks kills the last cultist!

After the battle, Ogelsby a) cleans himself, then b) pours apple butter on himself and pretends to a prisoner. We also captured a cultist. So Oglesby goes undercover and try to solicit information. Ogelsby plays the apple butter jar knockout pretty hard.

We search DuskCrown – get black staff, dagger, high quality robe, 100 gold pieces and a piece of paper. Paper says “bring me the solider, kill Gladeus. Signed – Lexley

Gladius tells me/I recognize the paper. Genuine Winchendon Papyrus!  Gladius tells us it’s likely from a noble, and maybe not their real name.

Jartha tries to question the prisoner – it doesn’t go well. This is after Jartha fake interrogated Oglesby. Prison taunts Jartha – “you saw something you shouldn’t have during the war”. Jartha slips a dagger to Oglesby.

Then Lux disguises/pretends to be a cultist; goes to Ogelsby and the prisoner and cuts their ropes. Says lets go follow me type shit. Oglesby tries to talk prisoner into escaping. She doesn’t recognize Ogelsby but is fine following Lux. She gets a horse, so does Lux. Lux follows, summons Joffrey. Heading for outskirts of town.

So Lux/Prisoner are split party with the others.
