Half Live session

We awake half a day from Ash/Jarree’s camp.

Lux asks about Grayleaf the Bower. Dude says he doesn’t know him, but has heard of him.

We roll to Jaree’s camp. NightTalon intros us as the triumvirate of triumph, we must see Jaree. Oh cool should I send word. Kex – just take us to him.

We move into the camp – Mr Gibbons has apples. We hear a druid says I heard they did shit up north, another says I heard they know steve and eydie.

We hear other side convos about us as we walk through town.

We see Jarree. He beckons us. Killius is there. He tells us he’s dying – we welcome you. I declare a great feast this evening. Lux says hi to Jarree. Tells us to work with Killius. He works with the war stuff. Jarree says he will be listening.

We update Killius on our planar travels and battles. He tells us of the Jaree side of things – feels like they are winning the war. Had wanted to talk to Kex and Lux about Rel having a disease that seems to have no cure.

Killius says we must talk later – small council. We must discuss something very important. We agree to discuss after the marinated chicken. Jaree says revelry and rest! Also there was a stag on stage that disappeared. Kilius says you must learn about the stag yourself.

Lux asks Killius about GrayLeaf the Bower. He is away hunting. Said maybe speak to Gladius about this matter. Says gladius is of high authority.  You should ask him about that yourself.

We start mingling. We see dog person playing some tunes at a campfire.

Cookie is “like, im gonna be off, you know. Alright”

Dog person finishes a set and looks at lux and kex.

Lux says hey and Dog Person is like I wanna talk about something. Tells us Gladius sends us to see cultist camps. Kills some guys on his way out. Says talk to gladius.

We  mingle, see a large forge up north.

Kex approaches the blacksmith. “Name’s Holliday, I can assist you in any smithing needs”. Jartha asks about polishing, Holliday is like leave the shield and the armor and I’ll take care of it. He can tell the bones are dehydrated. He has such implements to upgrade equipment. Jartha gives him the oil, he’s excited about using.

Says bow guy is away – may I help you.

Lux asks about the bow, says talk to Grayleaf or a mage.

Kex shows other scimitar (non-serabia) to Holliday. Holliday checks it out – this is a fine blade. What do you need to know. Kex is like it’s different.

Holliday is like this is a superiorly sharp blade. Can do extra damage or severing a limb again an opponent. Sword of Sharpness without first paragraph (no auto max damage). Also can glow brightly (10 foot radius glow). Command word is luma bella. Kex says it, it glows super bright. Holliday is like yeah it works. Kex puts sword away.

We get to Hennessey farms. Friends! SO much has changed. Sold my farm to my friend Rel. Couldn’t go on after my brother died. Rel travels / takes cruises. We ask about Rel’s travels – had been on cruises and shit. Hennessey looks at Kex’s leather and is like I could assist you. Says Jarree is like this outfit. Tiger skin cloak. It’s worn in well. But I happen to have rack sha sha tiger leather that could make fine armor. Also after the portal, army of jaree pillaged sarathras coat. Could make great armor. Could create movement limitations. Kex is like let’s go dragon scales. Kex tells of all his dragon related wares.

Holt Hennessey agrees to make tiger scale leather armor for kex’s dragon stuff

Jartha goes off to talk to Killius. Jartha asks about Drozan – Heather Academy. Tells Jartha that the Heather Academy was razed to the ground a year ago. Jartha says he understands being a never-graduated heather academy attendee.

Cookie is particularly excited about tonight’s meal. Miss Merril Trout, Girgginbone stuew. Embermist brandy. Lux encourages us to have a small meal.

Cooks is like he needs to focus on the ultimate after dinner omelete and needs special ingredients. Wants to hit the high while he’s still young. Also he’s a gnome.  Kex is like how old are you? 212. 12? 212! Says we need eggs. Gotta be from a big creature – big creatures, phoenix, dragon, griffin, spider. Also needs moon peppers – found only at night – not sure where they’re found. We need the most powerful ingreidents for the most powerful omelet. We need swamp onions. We need emberthyme. Also needs verdant ash – special tree that’s burning to the ground. This recipe was taught to me years ago. I didn’t think you were up to date. He learned the recipe from saucebeard glimmerspoon! Kex somehow knows him. Taught cooks everything he knows – including frying pan attacks.

We have a great meal. It’s so excellent.

Lux hears about moonpepper growing of an island off ash. Not sure which one.

Cooks leaves and joins the main party. Jartha goes a walk, a constitutional really.

Kex/Lux wander but don’t find a stag. Killius is like are you ready to meet. We’re like yeah we were looking for you.

Jartha finds a bookstore by some guy name Elmsly – he’s from Winchendon. Jartha asks about Winchendon papyrus. Scrolls are indeed with Winchendon papyrus. Jarth is like I might stop by after drinking a bit. Killius sees jartha and is like join us. Killius dismisses the guards.

We huddle, the blue stag comes around the corner. Stag paws at the ground. Jaree says stop toying with them. Stag turns humanoid – Vicar Whisperbranch. We’ve both been meaning to talk. Much we need to discuss. Lowers his voice and is like Jaree is gonna die, I am running things. With killius/Rel approval, I will take charge when Jaree dies and will focus on spiritual side of the movement. Vicar is like I have a mission for you. Neves is like THIS IS IMPORTANT. And we’re like oh you are awake.

WhisperB is like we found Vario. You need to take him out. Vario is flanked by ash cavaliers. Also you need to know, looks at Kex, Vario is in the SouthMarch. Looking to genocide the bullywogs.  Kex is told 10 cavaliers were born, 3 were slain.

We agree to take neves and go scout. Jartha is like I met a guy in the woods. Winchendon papyrus. Jartha leads us to the person in the woods. Has a cure poison potion. Also says he has spell – six level and below. Has only ever heard of GrayLeaf the bower. Kex goes back to holt hennessy – he’s like youre back. Put the armor on for tailoring.

Say to Kex – the more powerful the pose you strike, the more the armor will assist you. Kex spins/jumps into the air, puts one finger up/another fist, one knee bent/the other down, then does a little roll back to the ground. KEX NAILS IT!!! 20. Must roll know to determine the power of the armor. Rock shaka, innate casting, disguise self major, each cast once per rest. +3 of tiger leather, disguise self, major image.

Jartha is like kex you look great. Lux asks kex about making records with Rel and Kex is like there’s a pandemic.

Holliday has Jarthas’s armor. Says the astroglide has made this shit really visible. Most important thing I found – something I thought to be true with the shield – the bones of the shield still live. They attune with the user. The logo of the heather academy is on the shield.

Lux starts asking Jartha about heather academy. Believes he was recruited. Jartha asks more about the boneshield. Shield is so stout because of living bones – bones of a great beast – large, dragon perhaps. That would mean the shield is ancient. Fits well in my hand says jartha.

We agree to head to SouthMarsh. Lux asks Kex about Cat People Records. Inspiration point to Aaron for a wax cylinder reference.

We head out to do some recon on southmarsh. We travel, camp.

We wake up – Lux looks like shit. HOWEVER, EYE IS SUPER POWERFUL.

Jartha feels weirded out by his shininess. Offers to wear an enemy cloak.

Lux rolls poorly, but somehow this makes him see better! He can see two fires  – one area is a group of small fires, one large fires – sees smoke.

Kex says there’s a holy island at the delta area. Jartha comes out of the bush and is like do you know what a swamp onion is. Kex is like yeah.

We head towards the island that Kex directs, proceed with caution. We start making our way. Kex helps us through the swamp. We hear a group of people sloshing through the swamp not far away. We hear muddled voices with no details. Lux uses his AWESOME SPECIAL EYE. Sees cultists. We dress up as cultists. We tell Jartha not to talk.

Kex: Ahoy! Fellow cultist soldier.

Cultist: you’re one of the bullywog spies we recruited. Strange folk. Strangely dressed. Kex is like we’ve been around a long time. We get our choice of we need wear. Kex makes him believe. Asks him where he’s headed. Scouting out a bullywog kingdom. Some back and forth deception. Kex convinces cultist to lead us back to the camp. Says his name is Lieutenant Warchampion Christmas. Name’s Christmas. Kex says I am Charles Witfoot, Jartha introduces himself as Warchampion Birthday, and Neves says may name is Guy Incognito, and Lux introduces himself as Cloaks McFee. All talking to Christmas.

We ask Christmas about Vario. Kex asks if he’s righthand imp of Cleo Pipe. Allegiance is under debate. We ask about the original cultists. We talk about the great betrayal.

Christmas is like a temple Vario created. Sounds like a war center. We agree to follow cultist, also Jartha is suspicious of dog person.

We head out with the scout group. We see a temple, with scorched island and several weird looking dark cowboys. We see three. Because of LUX’S EYES we see some figures around the edaphus. It’s vario and two cultist priests with the glowing maces.

Kex is like Mr. Christmas, we’re going to part ways. Christmas is like I’ll tell em I saw you, Whitfoot, Birthday, Icognito, and McFee.

We regroup – Jartha/aka birthday is like I don’t know about this. We agree we’re outnumbered. We agree to go to ash.

We make our way to Ash, avoid shit. We noticed the multitude of fires. Kex knows the place. We agree to stop. There’s a building recessed from the main people. We agree to talk to the people. Kex notices a lot of familiar footprints. It’s like Ewok village. Trees. Swamp. A bullywog and captain approach us. Kex shows ring. They show fielty, Kex is like bring us to my dad.

An old bullywog knight come up. What are you doing here? Captain? Sir, this is the duke’s son. Lux and Jartha do an acapella version of duke of earl.

Kex recognizes the captain. It is LORD HOPWELL – your weapons and spell instructor – my young master, you have returned. Kex is like do you know what’s happening in the northeast. We’ve seen the fire, we’re focused on the coastline. Your father would be most pleased. Kex’s dad’s name is TuCopenLeaf <ed note – its Duke Hoppenleaf>. Kex gives him shit about his weight. Kex kneels. TuCopenLeaf is like where’s my treasure. Kex offers a dragon eye. Cool, grand and wise trophy. Kex updates him regarding the north. What are we to do? Gives him the lowdown. Says his army can re-enforce us.

Kex says we’re heading to ash. Lux introduces himself – offers two daggers and pink gem – Jartha offers, with TOTAL DEFERENCE, a sack full of minatour nickels, guy is like ok cool and sets them aside.

Kex asks for further reinforcements, he wishes us frog speed on your journey. If you need to rest, stop at bog bottom’s brewery. Jartha makes an excited gesture upon the word brewery. Jartha is like hey sorry also have you seen moonpepper? No. Jartha asks about amberthymoe, verdant ash. Trees that would create the ash, grow to the north, where our holy island up north.

We head to Bog’s Bottom Brewery in the swamp distrct.

Some super old bullywog jamming on a lute. Just plays cocaine over and over. Kex recognizes him aand his old music. Croak Softsong. Name’s Softsong. Says KEX COME JAM WITH ME. Lux starts charging. Gets two gold, agrees to split with Kex.

We go to the bar, Jartha is like beer would be great. Jartha starts hitting on bartender. Finds out she’s married. Flips her a gold.

Lux sizes up Croak – a little more obvious than usual. Kex is like another time (re: jamming with Croak). Kex guides Lux to the bar. Kex thanks Lux for getting him out of the situation. We leave and go to the bar. Old bog bottom is like what can I get ya.

Ive been able to consolidate my power over three families – I control Ash- I am godfather- nothing happens in my town without me knowing about it.

Kex – but you love  jarree – I am unified with jaree. Special group of people that take care of me. Dog person is part of my crew. What of Vario = I have several such operatives.

We roll down to the docks. We get in large boat with Louie the squid. We load up on the boat.
