Louie the Squid goes through the bodies. We take a short rest. They give the dead archer a viking funeral.

We roll up to the small island. Small building, stuff around. Squid starts slowing down, has crew put goods in the row boat. Hands Jartha a bag.

We get in the rowboat. Jartha rows. We get close to the shore – the building is a crumbled ruin with tents and sleeping tents. Lux sees a body on the beach head – it looks like a dead body. Smoke from a fire, wispy smoke. It a peninsula with a mountain behind it – fairly small land mass before mountains. Aaron owlbear draws the maps per kens direction. Jarred tried to DESTROY the drawing. He undid it though.

Kex looks in the bag. Filled with jewel encrusted rose pedals. Delicate – likely not crafted by human hands. Kex takes one. They are delicate. Ask Neves to size it up. Says they are magic – made by magic, dwarves couldn’t make these.

We go to the west side of the peninsula. We see two dead bodies in front of tent. Blue jaree uniform and an elf in orange uniform dead in a bear trap. We land. Kex finds a trap, marks it with a blue circle.

Kex searches orange guy – finds a letter in elvish. Letter says kill all the people there, take the bag, and return. Leave none alive. Jartha searches blue – also has a piece of paper in his pocket. Says I am sending a special group of people to assist you – expect them tomorrow – signed Gladius.

Lux looks into the tent. Sundries and ledgers.  Tent is strangely much bigger on the inside. We asked emo boy to size up the magic of the situation. He mentions the endless canvass spell. More small items. In one corner has charred circle on the ground. Lux checks it out and it appears to be a summoning portal. Neves determines something is placed in this spot and something teleports away.

Jartha yanks the spear out of the blue guy. Throws the body on to the circle. And there’s a swirling mist. A voice says incorrect payment. Punishment applies and a huge fucking snake appears. We fight the snake who packs a wallop (35 damage to Jartha). We kill it – Snake says to Kexyl, enjoy your short life mortal, I will see you again in 1-6 days. Kex feels marked.

We talk to neves. Why did you skip the battle. What do you think about this. Not much input other than we had the wrong payment.

We take a short rest. Kex for some gd reason plays tears in heaven to increase hit points.

We find a chest of gold.

Find a body killed by a crossbow shot to the back of the head. Jartha finds a key.

Lux writes note to Gladius explaining what we saw, with emphasis on elf. Mention the portal, the snake. Lux is in telepathic communication with this owl. We welcome direction We still have cargo.

Lux summons Joffrey the owl figurine, gives him this direction with the note. We wait, play cards.

Joffrey communicates with Lux. Gladius says, complete the transaction.

Kex puts rose pedals back in. Joffrey/Gladius says, put the bodies to sea. Fold up tent and bring it with you when you come back. Jartha puts the bodies at sea.

We go into the tent. Lux drops the bag of jewels, john Williams music playing, voice says payment complete. Scroll appears. Neves says powerful scroll – no one should read it. Neves stashes the scroll.

We start breaking down the tent, then it takes down itself into a canvas backpack. We get back in the rowboat – back to the ship. Louie is like what happened. We tell him about the snake battle. Louie asked about his brothers. Jartha tell him he died well but seems to be at the hands of an elf. We cook lobsters. Take a long rest.

We make our way to Nethercyclone. Line around the block, Steve and Eydie are headlining the bill. Security won’t let us in – Cooks get us in.

Cooks makes us Winchendon Storm Shell Chowder. He gives us some rations. We ask about Gladius – cooks gives us an after dinner omelet.

Gladius – my friends. Omelet – wonderful. Mentions the Druvalis – been at war for many years. Mentions elves moved in, came out of nowhere. Didn’t want to do business our way. Gladius and Barzinis thought they had taken of Druvalis, but not so. Coincided with war between Jahree/Cultist. We have neves produce the scroll. He locks the scroll away. It’s a powerful item that I bought from a demon from the nine plays of hell.

The wish scroll can defeat the snake – but we need to save the wish scroll to save Jahree.

We get VIP access to Steve and Eydie. Gladius says he found something for Lux, sitting at a table outside.

Jartha gets beers and rushes to the front of the stage. Edyie gives Jartha a wink, Steve is alarmed to see him. Jartha is then like I need to go to another bar.

Lux looks around – finds an older gentleman. He’s whittling a bow.

Says he has been out hunting but Gladius sent him. Name’s Greyleaf. Suggests the Lux and Neves come with us. We go to the back room.

Grayleaf is like let me see this weapon. Lux shows the bow – oh this requires a polish. Powerful item. He pulls out a towel, jar of dark glue. This crossbow is known as silent spark once per short rest, you can draw back the string of the bow when it is not loaded. This will generate a lightning arrow – 4 d8 on hit, 8 d8 as surprise before combat. It is of elvish design. Says help Jaree – use this weapon. He leaves and bids us good hunting. Says he will likely not see us again.

This drunk guy (Drozin) sees Jartha he’s like dude you came to the show! Goes into details about hard times. Says he’s usually at the copper claymore. Says we should really talk.

Drozin and Jartha step outside. Jartha is like I don’t remember you. Drozin is like how man. You don’t remember that night? Jartha keeps bringing up red crystals. You don’t remember the death knight night? Jartha says he’s been running ever since. Jartha says I heard the heather academy razed to the ground.

Jartha is like where is the copper claymore. We got meet up there tomorrow. He tells Jartha where it is. Drozin just bails.

Suddenly there’s a huge commotion. EYDIE HAS FADED. Jartha refills his beer and rushes the stage. “Oww, what happened”

Kex and Lux investigate – find a grimy pipe. We ask nearby patrons – sounds like it was Drozin. We bring Jartha over and tell him the pipe has red crystal. He smokes it and is floored/sits down.

Jartha has a vision – same battle scene with the tents. Same this – where it’s another person. Sees Jartha and others leave the tent and surrounds it. Sees the death nknight destroying heather academy instructions. The POV person runs, sees themselves get pierced with a flaming sword.

Then his view switching to view of first vision about getting fireballed.

Kex/Lux notice him tripping out. Kex slaps him awake. He tells us about the visions.

We agree to go there tomorrow.

Bar is clearing out. Gladius beckons us pack. Terrible tragedy – she was my favorite performer. Jahree is now very very ill – as requested to see you guys. I will go with you and bring the wish scroll. Could be more of Jahree transforming not dying. Kex is like what about the snake – we have to wait longer.

Gladius says both events seem urgent.  Gladius is like this way – opens a portal. Gladius says keep the tent. It is called the endless canvass/aka vast pavilion.  Cooks is coming with. Jartha takes the pipe.

We go through the portal to the land of Jahree’s camp.

WhisperB is like thanks for coming we hope that wish scroll will help him. Jahree says he would transform into celestial. We ask about who has used it before. Neves asked for my wife to come back but it made my daughter disappear.

Lots of debate about what to do. Vicar/Gladius pro use scroll. Neves is like don’t use this shit. Rel is like do what Jaree wants, no scroll.

We have a great debate and most of us lean on Jahree who wants to die and turn into a celestial. Says you must all share in the burdens left behind. Jaree lays down.

He begins to glow and emerges as golden/radiant Jahree. We all feel revitalized – we feel younger like in Cacoon.

Jahree begins ascending and flying. Asks are you coming with me old friend? Neves turns into a ball of light and disappears.
