We get to Ash – Jaree has gold feathers – radiates a lot of power. We show him the letter, talk about staves and globes. Jaree tells us Solastra was spotted north. He’s very concerned. Hawkwind has not been sighted. Smaller white dragon that has been around the tower to the south. Size suggests it’s young. Thinks talking to Gladius is a good idea.

We go talk to Morris Day (in Jaree’s camp). We tell him Oglesby is away getting a petticure but also his suit is stained. Morris is devastated and empathetic.

Talks about the TimeInn is enchanted and was able to break the time spell. Exiting the fade tore the Inn in half. Lornath was left there. His stopwatch was permanently damaged. His boutonniere was also destroyed. The fade is gray – no horizon, buildings and trees. All a little translucent. Translucent. Creatures of odd shapes. Circles and triangles. They watch us but don’t engage. Saw Skyler Reach. Members of the cultists there – perhaps to maintain order – seemingly involuntarily. Says Cleo Pipe moves between fading dimensions indiscriminately, saw him in the fade. Many of the faded cultists treat him with reverence.

Morris asks about Cooks. We send Cooks over to cook some after dinner omelettes.  Sir Gibbons asks us to help with Sir Fairsly. Fairsly is casting aspersions. Asks us to look into Fairsly’s warehouse to find evidence of misdoings.  He’s telling the truth. Says Fairsly is saying that Gibbons is abducting children. Kex goes to Fairsly and calls him out. Fairsly saying abductions happen all the time. Says customers always talking about it. Tells us to talk to the Hennessy Brothers – he wants the contract.

Lux tells Fairsly to cut the shit. Lux slices a basket of apples in half and Fairsly falls over. Gibbons tells us where the warehouse is.

We head to Ash. Woods are lush. We make it into town – we’re allowed in. We go to NetherCyclone. Van Morrison is playing. We talk with Gladius. We give him a globe.  He throws a portable hole over it. He long suspected dragon sisters were in cohoots with Cleo Pipe.  Athenash hasn’t been seen since he resisted the fade.

Gladius has bad news. He’s not happy that we dispatched a vampire spawn – Julia Kidd. Lord Corbin will be very disturbed by this event. We tell him the story – Corbin may hold a grudge. He hasn’t spoken to Vario since the invasion. Gladius does not trust – could be a double secret probation agent. Gladius sends men north, suggests maybe we investigate the seer tower. Dragonling has only recently been spotted. Perhaps the spawn of Hawkwind herself.  Spotted at dawn and dusk. We decide to check out the dragonling. Gladius offers us Cyne at the docks to help. We just see dragons out there – not humans.

We chill at Nether Cyclone – Van Morrison. Few beers, a few laughs.

Merka shows up – we send him to scout out Fairsly warehouse. One entry, one guard. Human, big, on the night shift. Merks shows he’s got a stun arrow.

Jartha plays hurt at the front door or the warehouse. Kex/Lux on the side. Big dude comes out. “Don’t slam into that door”. Jartha falls down play hurt. Merka misses.  Jartha tries to start a fight by grabbing the guy’s leg. They start fighting. Merka screams it’s a giant I’ve got an arrow for that. Hits! Doesn’t do much. Jarred slashing the guys ankles.

Lux bribes the guard to let us in. Tons of apples, alchemy table. Looks like Costco. Alchemists do their alchemy thing. Kex and Lux check out the alchemy lab. Several potions, a log book. Lux reads logbook, apple butter poison plans.

Jartha and the big dude start talking. I get here at 8, the guys were leaving. Guys in robes with arm bands. Kex convinces him not to say anything. We end up giving him more gold and he takes off. Lux puts some apple butter in a dish, puts some of the potion on it – it turns it into green bubbly mess. We take the science experiment with us.

We head back to the woods. We send Merka to send a note to Gladius then join us. We go wake up Rel. We tell Rel – he’s shocked. Rel talks about trying to get the security guard replaced. Important to know how much Fairsly knows about the cult of the absconsion. Agree to let this play out. Monitor warehouse, keep an eye on apple butter related goings on. Rel agrees to take this one.

We rest. Merka is back – says Gladius was interested in info will send out some guys.

We go down to the docks, we find Gladius symbol, Cyne. Says he’s been here all day. A large warship docked. Long thin crates. Ship left. Noticed the ship had been in a fierce battle – recently patched up holes in the hull. Happened in the middle night. Humans, robes.

We head into the ship – we make it to the island. We go up to the castle.  Castle looks abandoned. Also apparently Kex and Merka have a new band called Slime Balls. It’s mid-day, we hear flapping. Lux glances up and sees a large, white entity flying through air. We wave. The creature looks over and changes course to fly directly at us. Kex holds up the lyre – no change in the flight of the creature. Kex and Merka play a song. Nothing.

Dragon appears smaller than other dragons but still very large. Dragon continues to advance forward. Dragon extends its claws. The gd dragon is attacking us. Tries to hit Jartha. Kex says we come in peace. Lux says we are friends with Hawkwind.  Says “what do you know of my mother?. She allies herself with Cleo Pipe”. Dragon rebels against her mom. Kex convinces her we’re only trying to help. Her mother believes the fade is the winning side and only by embracing changes will we be able to escape it.

Hawkwind flew to the north – but doesn’t know where archpoint is. It’s within the canyon between the apex of two mountains. To the east of alabeth. Hawkwind has been gone for at least two months ago. Scales have been stolen from her body! She doesn’t know who did it. But must know dragons. Her name is Tate. She assumes human form.

We tell her we are not friends of Cleo Pipe. Tate says Hawkwind feels like Cleo is a tool, when it’s the other way around. Jartha asks some questions about the castle. Lux gives Tate the applebutter. We go back to the docks – Cyne is there – we row back to Ash. We go to the forest.

Cookie is working a one man show in Morris’ kitchen. Jartha (in unnecessary sly fashion, gives him steak).  Cooks is pumped about dry aged steaks. Gonna combine with ghost pepper – will have for dinner tonight. They’re amazing. Then we have after dinner omelettes. We go talk to Jaree and Rel.

We tell Jaree about the staves. And the archpoint. Jaree bails immediately and flies to north to find the archpoint.

Rel had heard about Hawkwind had a daughter. Had been concerned this dragon would be a threat. He heard the Hennessy Brothers suffered a loss at the farm. Jartha brings up the weaponization of apple butter – Rel agrees.
